Why Isn't My Website Getting Me Customers?

Traffic and enquiries are two different problems. Here is how to tell which one you actually have.

If people are finding your site but not contacting you, the website itself is usually the problem, not your business. Here are the most common, fixable reasons, roughly in order of how often they turn out to be the actual cause.

It loads too slowly

Mobile visitors are the least patient audience on the internet. If your site takes more than a couple of seconds to load, a real percentage of visitors leave before they see anything. This is measurable, not a guess, and it is one of the cheapest things to actually fix.

There is no clear next step

A visitor who is interested but is not told exactly what to do next, call, WhatsApp, fill in a form, will usually just leave. One clear, repeated call to action does more for enquiries than almost anything else on the page.

It is not built for mobile

Most visitors from social media are on a phone. If buttons are too small, text is cramped, or the layout was clearly designed for a desktop screen first, you are losing the exact audience most likely to contact you on impulse.

There is nothing that builds trust

No real photos, no proof of past work, no way to tell this is a real business run by a real person. A stranger deciding whether to trust you with their money looks for signals, and a site with nothing specific to show for itself reads as generic and interchangeable.

It genuinely is not being found

Sometimes the site itself is fine and the real issue is visibility, nobody is finding it in search in the first place. This is a different problem with a different fix, and it is worth knowing which one you actually have before spending money on the wrong solution.
